Wondrous Words Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday, everybody!  I am looking forward to seeing everyone’s words this week, even though I am a little short of words this week.  I have a couple that I have scrounged from my online reading, and these are kind of fun to share:

1. Logomachy: A dispute over or about words

“The surprising election results have opened the floodgates of logomachy in the political media outlets.”

2. Orotund: Pompous and bombastic

” District superintendent Christopher W. McGinley, in an orotund statement, defends the program while canceling it.”

So, what words are new to you this week?

Those are both new to me! I love orotund and the way it’s used in that sentence! Thanks for participating!

Logomachy is the perfect word for this meme! Orotund is wonderful as well.
