October Top Spot: The Night Eternal

Top Spot is a new monthly blog meme hosted by the Skype Sisters. Every month we will get together to share our favorite read from that month and we would love for you join us! This meme will take place over the last weekend of every month, giving us all a chance to gush over the great reads we’ve encountered and bring an awesome ending to the current month. The Top Spot book can be anything you’ve read, whether it’s old or new, an ARC or a finished copy. All October reads count!

How to play along:
• Pick your favorite read from the current month
• Make a blog post stating your Top Spot pick and share with us why it got the Top Spot for you. Feel free to add (link or attatched) reviews, book summaries or teasers in the post as well for people to take a look at.

  • Be sure to link back to the Skype Sisters blog and feel free to grab the graphic!

» NOTE: No book spoilers allowed! If you have to add them, be sure to include a warning.

• Add your post in the linky and enjoy the current months favorites!
My Top Spot this month goes to a book I reviewed earlier today, The Night Eternal by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. I was so excited to get this book because I couldn’t wait to see how this trilogy wrapped up. It’s a great read – lots of atmosphere, lots of action, and a really original twist on vampire canon. Run right out and get all three!

Check out the other Top Spots on the list!

It’s always good when a series/trilogy ends with a good book. I hate when you invest in reading a series and the final book is unsatisfying. Great top spot pick, I will have to look into the series 🙂 Book Savvy Babe

Oh it’s always cool to get the final book in a trilogy! Glad to here it was satisfying too! I haven’t read any of Guillermo Del Toro but I’ve heard amazing things, so I’ll probably read something of his one of these days 😀

I bought the first book, The Strain, just a few days ago but haven’t gotten to it yet. Incase anyone is interested, the kindle version is only $1.99 at Amazon right now.
