If you haven’t seen much of me lately, it’s because I’ve been busy writing. As I mentioned earlier this month, I joined NaNoWriMo for the first time ever, and just a short while ago I uploaded my novel, The Girl in the Woods — all 50,421 words of it.

What will ever become of this bit of writing, I can’t say. I can say that I am thrilled to have completed the challenge, even if I haven’t completed the novel. I wasn’t sure that I could come up with so many words, but I find that even after 50,000 words, I still have more to say about Kelly and her escape into the woods. When I will finish and what I will do with it, I don’t know, but I am quite proud of myself.
