Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. To participate, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
Today, I was finally able to rescue the fall photos from my phone! These I took while walking on one of my favorite trails around town. I timed my walk badly and it got dark a lot faster than I expected, so I ended up with a spooky, twilight trek to my car.
The combination of the dying light and the flash from my phone gives this a really odd texture, like it was printed on cardboard.
Looking at the photos, you can see how the light changed as I walked. The leaves are all wet and clumpy now, but that was one of the last really beautiful days of fall.
Gorgeous shots! I do love fall….although my neighborhood looks nothing like this. These are the kinds of images I think of when I ponder fall and walking. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I love these textures and that thick blanket of leaves. I want to get in there and pick up an armful.
Wow, look at all the leaves! They’re just starting to fall here.
That must have been a wonderfully refreshing walk! I can just feel the crisp air and crunchy leaves.
I can definitely imagine having lots of fun with those leaves!
It does look like a lovely walk, but I wouldn’t blame you a bit if you were spooked by the descent of twilight – I know I would be.
Beautiful pictures! I particularly love the first and the last, though the “textured” pic is very cool, too! Thanks for stopping by my snapshot!
Such an abundance of leaves – beautiful.
That first picture reminds me of a trail in the woods behind my mom’s house. Beautiful!
I especially love the last photo ~ I can’t ever seem to capture the moon without making it look like a light blob ~ great photos!
It’s always nice crunching through fallen leaves. Nice pictures.
Looks like a lovely walk. Beautiful moon. But yeah, I prefer being off the trail by the time it gets that dark.
I love pictures! And these are beautiful captures of a late fall day. Thank you for sharing.
Looks like a nice scenic trail. The sudden darkness happened to me while out walking last week too. I like twilight walks in the woods but I don’t want to be out there when the nighttime animals come out!
The photos look great! I have done that before, when I get lost in taking pictures and then before I know it, it is dark out. At least you have some great pictures to show for the spooky walk back, haha.
