It’s Tuesday again and time for another Teaser!  Tuesday Teasers is hosted by MizB over at Should Be Reading and you know the rules by now:

My Teaser this week is from Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist.  I wasn’t going to read any more vampire novels for a while, but I saw the movie a while back and after reading some online reviews/discussion, I was compelled to read it.  It’s really fabulous and I hope to post the review later this week.  In the meantime, our vampire, Eli, is taking a stroll in the park:

“It hardly hurt at all anymore, just felt like a tingling, an electric current through her fingers and toes as they thinned out, took on a new shape.  The bones crackled in her hands as they stretched out, shot out through the melting skin of her fingertips and made long, curved claws.”

Eli is not someone you want to meet on a dark path in the park — some of these folks had better be careful!
