Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. To participate, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
This week, I thought I would share a few pics from my recent trip to Key West. I can’t tell you how strongly I recommend Eden House — lovely hotel staffed by lovely people and perfect for book people. There is an area on the map of the hotel called The Library; it’s full of hammocks, perfectly placed for quiet reading. I spent a great deal of time there, relaxing with a stack of books. I also spent a lot of time on my personal porch, in the porch swing, with a book:
When I wasn’t on my porch swing (and check out the hammocks in the background — click on the photo, they show up better in the large version), I was at the pool…
Such a lovely vacation! I read 6 or 7 books while I was gone, got a bit of color without getting sunburned, spent some time walking along the harbor, along the shady streets, exploring the cemetery and recharging my batteries. More photos of the neighborhood next week!
