Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. You know the rules: grab your current read, open to a random page and share a two sentence teaser with us (no spoilers!). Be sure to tell us about the book, so we can add it to our TBR list!

This week, my teaser is from Nothin’ to Lose: The Making of KISS (1972-1975) by Ken Sharp with Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Kiss influenced an enormous number of bands and changed the way bands performed for their audiences, but there is one thing Gene Simmons will always be remembered for:

“I remember being in seventh grade and the girls kept asking me to stick my tongue out. I’d wiggle it and they’d giggle like chickens being led to the slaughter, never imagining what they wanted me to do with it.”

I don’t think chickens giggle — my aunt’s never did, especially on the way to the chopping block. Still, maybe it was Gene’s on-stage antics that inspired Miley Cyrus? Hmmm…

What’s teasing you this week?
