Saturday Snapshot!

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. To participate, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

I’ve been in St. Paul this week for work and we have been taking the opportunity to check out a couple of new restaurants. Tonight, we had dinner at a place called Barrio – great tequila, good Mexican food, and really interesting decor. There are the skulls, the giant silver metal bull and, of course, the wrestling masks:

Oh my goodness. Those are seriously creepy. I’m not a big wrestling fan, but I do know that some participants wear masks. I don’t really like masks. LOL

Mmmm I could always go for some great tequila and Mexican food. Those masks are so interesting! I’d need to get right up there for a closer look.

I couldn’t get on before – not sure what happened, but I can now. Those masks are creepy – I’m not sure I’d want them looking down on me while I ate.

If those were in a darkened hallway, I’d be reluctant to walk down it!

That is a way too cool photo!

Looks like a bizarre museum exhibit. I miss Mexican food. I’d sit under any kind of creepy mask for a decent margarita and tacos.

Kathy, the masks are in a corner, by the bar, so they aren’t too intimidating. Plus, some are genuine antiques – Mexican wrestling masks are great collectibles.

(And my webhost has been moving some servers around this weekend – probably explains the outage. He said there might be some spotty problems.)

Ha! I would never expect to find wrestling masks as wall decor. Very cool!

They look great from a distance, nice and colourful, but up close, some of them look like they have eyes! And I find that a bit creepy.

Oh, I love the masks! And Mexican food and tequila….Sounds like fun. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

Eek, the one with the horns. And is that supposed to be Santa in the middle…creepy masks!

  15. October 22, 2011 at 10:28 pm

I’m not sure how I’d feel about eating with those looking on! 🙂

They do have a creepy halloween-ish look to them. They are probably a good conversation starter at the bar.

Masks in general creep me out!
