This week, I’m reading Naked City: Tales of Urban Fantasy, edited by Ellen Datlow. These are fantastic stories! There are some great authors represented in this collection and I am really enjoying. My Teaser comes from a story by Christopher Fowler called “Oblivion by Calvin Klein.” Helen, our heroine, is a bit of a shopaholic:

“After shopping, she always wanted a cigarette and a soapy wash, because the entire process was about sex. Buying an inappropriate dress was the equivalent to a thoughtless one-night stand, whereas designed shoes constituted a long-term commitment filled with recrimination and at least one decent orgasm.”

I think Helen might be shopping in better stores than I can afford.
