Saturday Snapshot

I love public art. I love murals on buildings and cool graffiti and statues in odd places. I think that sort of thing adds a lot to the flavor of a community, so for this Saturday snapshot, I decided to show a bit of public art I am really fond of.

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce at At Home with Books. To participate, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

This photo was taken near my company’s office in Houston, TX. It borders one side of the parking lot near our favorite Thai restaurant:

I love public art as well. I went to college in Tucson, AZ and their was a neighborhood that had some really cool art (actual art, not grafiti). I like your pic, hope you are having a great weekend! Book Savvy Babe

Oh, so do I! Love public art, I mean. My eldest son took some of my favorite photos of the defunct Berlin Wall after artists turned it into a celebration of freedom.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

I would laugh every time I saw that. You can’t ask for more than that from art

What an original and neat painting! I’ve seen some outdoor mural painting and most often it’s scenery or representative of the area. Thanks for sharing this.

Original and exciting art. I like it. Most outdoor mural painting I’ve seen is representative of the area it’s in, like sailboats on the sea in a mural in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
