Saturday Snapshot is hosted by West Metro Mommy. To participate, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

This week, I was in Houston for work, and that always means a trip to Taste of Texas – it has become a tradition for new visitors. They are famous for their steaks, but this is the first time I have ever seen anyone order (and finish) the Tomahawk Ribeye. That monster is 38 ounces and the bone on it is 14″ long. It’s a behemoth!

Gracious! I live just outside of Houston….Why have I never been here?!

(BTW, if you love good steaks, you might try Ruth’s Chris Prime Steak House. The best steak I ever ate was here.

I live in Australia and I’ve been there! I visited Houston 2 years ago, and went there for dinner with friends. I remember having crab cakes though not steak- I think I’m glad, I’m sure I couldn’t eat that. I remember the rattlesnake decorations on the walls too.

  8. Comment by bermudaonion (Kathy):

Holy cow! The thought of eating that makes me feel sick.

  9. Comment by Nise':

Oh my, that is one large steak. Do they walk out after eating it or have to be carried/rolled out?

  10. Comment by Sharon Chance:

We do grow ’em big in Texas! Looks yummy!
