This is a quote I really love, because it is so true in my own life. It is so often the case that one book leads to another — I often read a book for review and find that I have to go out and acquire all the books in that series, because I enjoyed the first so much. And when I mention them to a friend, she says that reminds her of another book she’s read, and now I have to get that, too. And while I’m looking for that one…well, you see how it goes, don’t you? Even better, I will read a book that gives me an interest in a topic and I find myself seeking out more books on that topic, and learning a lot in the process.
“What she was finding also was how one book led to another, doors kept opening wherever she turned and the days weren’t long enough for the reading she wanted to do.”
– Alan Bennett, author of The Uncommon Reader
